“The power of reflection”Reflective Keynotes is a privately held Canadian corporation founded by Mike Aoki in 2001. When Mike was a corporate manager, he was frustrated by training programs that lacked a real-world approach. There was too much theory and not enough concrete tips to help his team perform better. Mike founded this company with the belief that training can be practical and fun. Workshops and speeches also need to provide a sense of real-world reflection so employees can grow. Most importantly, business training must make a difference in performance. Mike doesn't want someone to say, "I liked the course." He wants them to say, "I can't wait to try out these new skills!" Because that means employees are motivated to make a difference in their workplace.
“Why is the word ‘Reflective’ in the company's name?”The answer is an old Japanese fable that talks about the power of the sword and the power of the mirror. While the sword can be used for battle, the mirror is used for life. Because, it's the power of the mirror - the power of knowing yourself - that provides real development. So, the "reflective" in Reflective Keynotes indicates the necessity to reflect, learn and grow.
