Why do some people never make cold calls?

Why do they always attract attention? Why do clients seek them out?

The answer is: they are viewed as experts. They are seen as experts because they give speeches.

Have you gotten the call yet?  Has the Rotary Club or a professional association in your industry given you an invitation to speak at their next meeting?

Or perhaps YOU called them, wanting to speak to their organization. You heard that speaking to the right group is a great way to boost your business.

But, do you know HOW to write a speech that positions you as an expert and encourages people to buy from you?

Make no mistake. As an entrepreneur, the purpose of your speech is to generate qualified leads.

Most people don't know how to design a lead generation speech. It's not an "informational talk" although it better be informative. It's not an “infomercial”, although it may be entertaining. It's not a “sales pitch” although it should generate sales.

What’s the advantage of being viewed as an expert? Experts are in demand. They charge higher prices. They have clients approach them to do business. That beats cold calling!

Point #2: Networking

If you network one-on-one, you may miss people who could benefit from your advice.

But if you’re the speaker, everyone in the room knows who you are. They will seek you out if your topic interests them.

Point #3: Lead generation

Think of your speech as an appetizer. It’s meant to tempt people’s taste buds. You want to make them hungry for the main course.

To do that, make your appetizer as tasty as possible. You need a great idea that will help your listeners. Most people think if you have one great idea, you’ll have more if they hire you.
Your goal is to get people to visit your web site or call you for more information. You want to make it easy to contact you and buy from you.

To do this, you should ...
